Seems like the benefits of federal money are drastically outweighed by the strings attached to that money.

It’s time to stop providing money to the program to avoid the pointless threats. Democratic states should fund their own schools.

That would work well if individuals weren't taxed by the federal government directly but instead taxed only by the state which then passed on the money to the federal government.
