I want to switch from those American for profit news outlets to Euro or non-profit news outlets, what are my options?

I will list the ones I know and I find here:

  • Bloomberg: TBA.
  • Reuters : Associated Press.
  • New York Times: Follow The Money, Mediapart.
  • Politico: The Guardian.
  • The Verge: The Register, Techzine, Heise.

DW (Deutsche Welle) is pretty good and it's available in a bunch of different languages. It's a German public broadcaster which comes with it's own issues, but it's generally not as turbo-capitalist in its opinions as most privately owned news outlets.

Yeah, if there's one topic you shouldn't trust German public broadcasters on, it's definitely that one. Germany has serious issues when it comes to Israel.

I like the CBC for the same not-turbo capitalist reason. Just swap Germany for Canada.
