I have my own ideas, but I want to first see what you say before "clouding" the answers with my thoughts.

Literally it means producing stuff, I guess, so creating physical objects, art, code, etc. It's not something I'd ever really measured or cared about. Many of the things I need to do are not productive, eg revising for tests, but are still useful for me to do.
