My 2 cents. There isn't a cohesive reason for the protests so reporting on it will be muddy. Devil's advocate but it's the same reason occupy Wall Street failed. The message got watered down. If the media can't report on a clear, concise and unwavering requirement from the crowd then reporting on it is exceedingly hard to sell to the public.

The large groups supporting the Hands Off protests are funded by Neoliberal Super PACS like this one that finances one of the leaders https://www.opensecrets.org/political-action-committees-pacs/indivisible-action/C00678839/summary/2020

I've gone to all the protests so far, and it's a lot of standing around listening to boomer Neoliberals tell us to not be violent but also not do anything else useful. In fact they don't tell the crowds to do anything at all, and nobody under the age of 40 is allowed to speak on stage.
