According to the new rules, on-stream logos are to be shrunk to 3% of the screen size, and burned-in video, display and audio ads are no longer allowed. What is allowed on branded streams are channel page panel ads, product placement, links in chat, discussing/unboxing products, and playing sponsored games.

This is actually pissing me off, Twitch was already bleeding out with some moving over to YouTube, it deems like they're completely out of touch and about to just give up on their position. So the new situation will be, we have one giant instead of two, everything will be Google.

That's what I'm afraid of. Is kick.com a realistic alternative? Streamers should not migrate to YouTube, they have enough monopoly already.

I still wonder whether PornHub could join the regular video sharing or streaming business to provide a real alternative... They probably have the infrastructure and know-how.

Peertube might be an option; it's basically an ActivityPub server that's intended for video and stream hosting, by my understanding.
