Idk why the original considered Czech names "czad", they're quite unremarkable:

♙ Foot soldier
♖ Tower
♔ King
♕ Lady (not Queen because that would start with the same letter as King)
♗ Archer
♘ Cavalryman (sometimes also Horse but that also starts with K)

(Pěšec, věž, král, ~~královna~~ dáma, střelec, jezdec/kůň.)

Still fun to see in different languages! In Dutch the literal translation is:

♙ Pawn
♖ Tower
♔ King
♕ Lady
♗ Walker (as in: slow runner)
♘ Horse

Pion, toren, koning, dame, loper, paard.

In German it would be

♙ Peasant / Farmer

♖ Tower

♔ King

♕ Lady

♗ Runner

♘ Horse

Bauer, Turm, König, Dame, Läufer, Pferd

But this may be wrong I am not that into chess.

♘ Horse

I think Springer, literally Jumper, is more common.
