Are you a hobbit? Cause that's a dagger/knife.
Based on the pommel and cross guard, I'd say it's a short sword.
What short sword has a handle that makes up nearly half its length?
The handle doesn't look that long to me. The blade looks to be at least twice as long as the hilt - and the hilt looks like it could only hold a single handspan comfortably.
