Did he used to eat with his litter mates? Is he just depressed and misses his friends/brothers and sisters? Maybe he's just super social... Have you tried feeding him at the dog park, outside the fence, during an interaction break?

(When I'm super depressed, I won't want to eat for days and then will eat like crazy because I'm starving and it hurts and my brain freaks out.)
