I wonder if there is anything to be gained from non-orthogonally-sliced bread (e.g. if each cut was 45 degrees instead of 90)... sure, there would be two funky heals, but each slice would be bigger (lemmy.sdf.org)

if your bread knife can't span the width of the round loaf it's this or cut it in half! those things get big

I honestly mostly avoid boules these days because they're somewhat impractical for me, so maybe I should try this.
