Welp, at this point anyone calling the us any form of democracy has to put the clown makeup on thick first.
You have a two party system with one party having no access to anyone not on a list of approved individuals vs the other party having a glorious leader and no access to anyone unless approved. The real sad part is only one of those two cares about holding power, so you have a nation of fascists (remember they did win that election) and a bunch of people who can claim some sort of moral high ground.
basically its a uniparty, justa coalition of the 2 sides, more often than not they pass things benefit themselves and the donors more than the actual voters. most of the time its backdoor deals between the 2 parties and the donors, that doesnt make news, because msm will not let it happen. GOP gets to enact thier plan in exchange for dems enacting some of thiers.
Makes sense if you can limit who can run in the party there is zero threat to you from the general population. I think it is stranger that people think the voters in such a system have real power.
the culture war distractions are the only polarizing item in the 2 parties to keep them divided with a little help from grifters back by my krasnovs handlers., its basically distraction, to the backdoor deals. the tax cuts almost never get repealed when the D get into power, or through reconciliation because DInos are still there.
