"Putting women in cinder block dungeons" is not a mental health issue we can effectively treat.

The pro-gun community keeps pushing the dangerous idea that a couple of Zoloft and a chat is all that's needed to prevent people mutilating children beyond recognition.

Yes because mentally ill people never have warning signs leading up to stuff like this /s

Mandatory reporting and taking signs of mental illness seriously is a must, which absolutely includes whatever the fuck is going on with this guy, normal mentally healthy people don't do this kind of stuff, and a civilized society should be finding out why this person is doing this stuff snd treat them before they do something like kidnapping women.

Also congratulations on your ignorance on mental health contributing to the problem. 👍

What I mean is, taking a Zoloft and calling it a day is absolutely not what is supposed to happen in mental healthcare, and pill pushing is a huge problem. There should be a hybrid approach to someone like this's treatment, and first and foremost they should be held by whatever treatment facility they get remanded to, then they should go through getting them on the right medication, then counseling.

The overall goal is to spot the mental illness, treat it, and keep tabs to ensure they succeed at life, just popping a Zoloft is not going to get the job done.

Given you're obviously an expert on mental health then, what's his diagnosis? What treatment do you recommend?

Given you're obviously an aggressively unreasonable asshole, what's your diagnosis? What treatment do you recommend? Did Mommy not show you enough love? Did Daddy go get some smokes and never come back? How about just trying to be slightly less of a cunt?

No I'm not a professional, and even a professional would tell you to not attempt to make a diagnosis from a distance, it takes times and there are tests to put this person through in order to find out, according to the DSM, what this person is suffering from.

Maybe you should also go see a shrink for your aggressive online cuntiness.

Okay, so "it's a mental health problem" really is your answer to everything, including "someone disagreed with me on the internet".

Ah okay sorry I didn't realize I was dealing with mister perfect, congratulations on your trauma free life. Or are you one of those "tough guys" that don't believe in therapy?

Nope. If you're having mental health problems, you should absolutely see a mental health professional. I have, and it was hugely beneficial once I found people who were a good fit.

But I'm realistic about what psychology and psychiatrists can fix and it's not "any violence".

Obviously I don't mean it's going to work for everyone, sociopaths, narcissists, psychopaths, and pedophiles are extremely resistant to treatment, but we gotta try, there's gotta be a way to figure out how to rehabilitate these people without getting tricked by them which would then allow them to reoffend. Warehousing people in a prison does nothing helpful and is a drain on resources for little to no positive gain. I'm not one of those that's completely against the death penalty, but there are still far too many innocent people who wind up being executed, so rehabilitation is our best bet, and it seems to work well for the European nations that take this route with their criminals.
