Maybe cuz her music is bad??
Is it? I mean it's niche but it's not technically incompetent or anything. I used to listen to her music all the time before knowing anything about her personality. She's pretty good at drawing cool synth noises out of a Roland Jupiter.
Most people are pushed away by her voice. She does this breathy almost falsetto lispy thing that's kind of annoying.
Are there ANY bad noises from a Roland Jupiter though? I mean, its basically an organ in the way its set up, the controls dont do much.
I think she uses a Jupiter-8 in her first few albums. Those are full synthesizers with ADSR controls and an LFO bank, but she might have been using presets, who knows.
I guess it's still a matter of taste though because I've always thought her music is above average.
Oh I'm not saying they cant be edited (I've used one a V-E-R-Y long time ago). I'm saying its not like modular or FM where you really need to know the dynamics of cross modulation and rerouting.
