comrade-stoic Oh my God. The sheer level of cruelty of this world.

Clearly he didn't immediately die on the factory floor but instead reached a level of coma where he was then pronounced brain-dead. Can't exactly donate the super critical stuff without that.

To live every day knowing a part of your child is what's keeping you alive has to be a hell of a feeling.

Imagine reaping the bloody harvest of your own child's organs.

How could someone choose to just keep living their regular life after that? Just, go back to work after recovering from the organ transplant. Imagine sitting in traffic to go to stare at a screen and answer calls for 8 hours, knowing that the only reason you can keep living that kind of life is because your own child was chopped up and is keeping you alive.

Likely he was working because his parent couldn’t.
