I go and pick it up. I literally have never had a food delivery made to my home, either as a child or adult.

Poor people brain is a fuck. I'll think, I could just get it delivered, but then I think, oh, it's not THAT far. You really want to pay someone to bring it to you when you could just get it yourself? Is that a good use of your money? And then I just go get it.

honestly I grew up able to afford takeout and we still did this, and I mostly do to this day. The only time I order delivery is like, if I'm having people over and don't want to leave for 20+ mins to go pick something up, or if I'm too intoxicated to drive (and nowadays I'm liable to bike or walk even then). If I can't even be bothered to go pick up the food I probably don't need it and should just go to bed.
