i really miss the feel of classic dungeons. i loved botw but the shrine and divine beasts just didn't feel like a dungeon.
My thoughts exactly. TotK spoilers:
spoiler
I got so excited when I stumbled on my first temple thinking it was going to be a full fledged dungeon. They were so close, but I was definitely disappointed when I realised it was basically divine beast 2.0This is kinda fixed in Tears of the Kingdom. The temples are back and more unique than the beasts in BotW.
I would definitely say the Fire Temple feels a lot like a temple, but the other not so much, they feels more like temple "lite" rather than a full temple. I think that sort of the trade off with open world Zelda game, it emphasize less on linearity.
I think the air temple (if you consider the approach to the temple to also be a part of it) also fits quite well, as does the Lightning Temple.
The water temple is weird in that it's in the middle of the sky and feels too similar to the air temple. Also the spirit temple isn't super themed.
