#WhatchaReading ? , Though only published in 2018, Lights and Sirens by Lisa Henry has sadly aged like milk, at least for this American. A cop throwing his weight around, even to protect his boyfriend, does not fly. There's an interesting arc for the other MMC, a paramedic who's mentally overloaded by too many horrific accidents, but it's all kind of brushed over in the end, and the romance also happens way too quickly.

@willaful @romancelandia @romancebooks I read a story over the weekend from around 2014 where the male lead was Border Patrol and the female leads brother was trying to illegally enter the country. Ant the end, male lead transfers to ICE cuz they only go after criminals and BP was stressing him out. It did NOT age well.
