What was buggy? Tox is a protocol, not a client. qTox, the "oficial" client is buggy, the developers are not very nice fellows, for example they restricted their IRC channel- only registered users can enter, the unregistered wretches are automatically relegated to qTox-unregistered channel, at least this was the situation when I left Tox channels for good. By the way long ago abandoned clients like Isotoxin works better than this clumsy monster, qTox, whose development is slower than a dead turtle. Can I say something good about qTox? Yes, it is not as bad as Signal and it is not written in JavaScript, it's C++/Qt client, (not some Electron monstrosity like the horrible pieces of garbage Signal and Wire called messengers) the initial 'Q' stands for Qt (as far as can remember). The mobile Tox clients are very limited in features but are real resource hogs (at least when I last checked 2 of them). It may be just a rumour, I don't know, but I once read that the 3-letter agencies successfully infiltrated the Tox community and managed to ruin it.
