It's a sudden change up or down. Happens whether I'm plugged in or not.

My P6P has been doing weird things with the brightness slider too lately. Sliding it up and it jumps dimmer, down and it flickers then goes brighter. I suspect it's a bit buggy lately.

Maybe the adaptive part has broken out of its sandbox and is beginning to take over the world.

My slider works perfectly. My screen just changes brightness in the middle of using apps.

What apps? It's pretty common for media apps to have their own brightness settings. Netflix, Jellyfin, and VLC all have this at minimum.

Every app. Not necessarily media apps. It just goes up and down sometimes.

Also lots of apps with qr codes like Ticketmaster and airline apps do this to make the scanners work better.
