Top as opposed to bottom (receiver of penetrative sex), sub as opposed to Dom(inant).
And then there is this weird in-between that is the power bottom - the top of the bottoms.
A common misconception! Bottoming is not synonymous with passivity, only with receiving. One can be a dominant bottom, or indeed a "power bottom" who is the one actively providing most of the energy.

It's weird to me that people find this concept weird or difficult to understand. It's so not.
Even seen straight porn where the woman is the more active participant, more fucking the man herself than being fucked by him? It's literally just that, but both partners are the same sex (usually; technically you could call the woman in my example a power bottom too, but nobody does).
