Were they dumb enough to believe the "Taiwan is China" -lie?

"It says 'Return to the Republic of China', so I guess that's China." - some very confused mailman

More realistically speaking, it was sent to China for repairs... so it was probably just the Swiss company trying to cheap out on labor costs in the most horrendous way imaginable for Taiwanese national security.

No, they probably just don't give a shit or received some cash under the table. Do you really think Switzerland, a country known for being """neutral""" in the face of fascism and genocide, profiting off scams and white-collar crime committed in other countries, allowing Hitler to stash stolen Jewish gold and then ~~stealing~~ losing it after the Reich collapsed, and giving birth to the crime against humanity known as Nestle, would give a fuck about something as insignificant as allowing a sovereign nation's military technology fall into the hands of their imperialist next door neighbor?

You forgot running the finances of terrorist organizations, and fascist genocidal dictators.

You must live in an very dark place.

The whole western industry is doing business with China, sustaining us in our comfortable lives.

I don't know the exact context, but I guess it was just stupidity combined with business as usual.

Better go call up the Republic of China and tell them they're not China, then. I'm sure they'll be understanding.
