From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

My friend wanted to install a newer version of Windows on their old laptop and I suggested they use Linux instead. I showed them Pop!_OS and Linux Mint out of which they chose Linux Mint.

I thought they would be reluctant to using Linux, but they actually liked it a bit more than Windows! :FeelsGoodMan:

While they aren't really interested too much in digging deep into the Linux "ecosystem", I think it's still much better than just using Windows.

Just thought I'd share this here. Let me know how your experiences have been in trying to get other people to switch to Linux.

Check this out. It won't help if game has VM detection but still.
