Oh, I can believe it. It's been close to two months since I posted this thread and my problems have only gotten worse.

But the good news is you can now log into Kbin via Google and Facebook! /s (I actually don't know for sure that you can...but Kbin logged me out the other day and I noticed both Google/FB tabs on my login page)
