I've read about this recently on hackernews, many people liked it. Is this a brand new project, I had never heard of it...?

I think it is, I've been trying it for the last week and it's actually nice. And it also motivated me to actually contribute more to OSM by adding business infos (phone #, business hours, website, etc) on the places where I live.
