Why don't some communities appear here? (lemmy.film)

[email protected], for example. Doesn't appear in the Communities>All page. I also tried to look up the webtoon community that is hosted here in lemmy.sdf.org (Communities>All again), and it doesn't appear. Why is that the case?

It's the nature of federation, and unfortunately community discovery right now is an issue in lemmy that is actively being discussed. If you want to federate in a new community, search [email protected] in the search bar and wait for it to appear. Doing so forces your instance to federate that community over.
