Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Nice to see some XMPP options included.
Only one nitpick, Matrix/element should probably listed as UK based.
I think that's only for the main instance though. A alternative server can be hosted anywhere since it's federated.
True, but since Matrix includes some centralized components like the identity server and also tends to replicate channel content on their main instance (happens as soon as someone with a matrix.org account joins any channel regardless of the homeserver), I think it is better to list it as UK based.
Furthermore it does matter where the main developers are based (Conversations: Germany, Movim: Netherlands).
That's a fair point.
The identity server can also be self-hosted as well as the integration server.
