What is libre culture?

Libre culture is all about empowering people. While the general philosophy stems greatly from the free software movement, libre culture is much broader and encompasses other aspects of culture such as music, movies, food, technology, etc.

Some beliefs include but aren't limited to:

Rules

I've looked into the ways other forums handle rules, and I've distilled their policies down into two simple ideas.

Libre culture is a very very broad topic, and while it's perfectly okay for a conversation to stray, I do ask that we keep things generally on topic.

MODERATORS

I'm trying to add icons to the communities I moderate, and Libre Culture has been a difficult one. Libre culture is more than just open source, and more than even free (libre) software as it includes hardware too, plus non-tech stuff. It's an ideology, one that to my knowledge doesn't have a generally accepted symbol. I've been trying to find an icon that encompasses all of Libre culture, but have been unsuccessful, so I'm asking for help.

Can you recommend an icon that you think effectively represents all of Libre culture? It can either be an existing one from the internet or custom made. My main requirements are that it not be inappropriate, indecent or offensive (should go without saying), and that it be licensed under a libre license, like creative commons.

If this might come to reality, I think a good idea would be something like a broken fence. From what my teachers taught me libre culture is a political movement which opposes to enclosure, and enclosures began first as a way to take away the common goods of the working class, and then it started to spread across every possible commodity, the difference here is that the good being liberated are generally software.

I'm oversimplifying things but I think y'all get the idea.
