The courts aren't part of the government and officially the government shouldn't be able to influence the courts decisions.
Unfortunately we've seen that barrier weaken in most of the world recently.
I don't know what the situation on this is in France.
He isn't reporting it to the government. Do you remember something called separation of powers?
