When Real beat Liverpool in the final in 2021, they did not beat a single team in the knockout phase on xG. It's just what Real does, they step up when they need to

That was one of the most one sided Liverpool games I’ve ever seen and we lost.

Well yeah, they played against PSG, Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea. We’re talking about Braga here, who spent 1/5 of what Madrid did on transfers this summer, who haven’t been in the UCL since the 2010-11 season. Very impressive display by Braga.
