Looking for Recommendations on High Gloss Black Primer (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I got an idea to some candy coated metals and I'm looking to see if I can find a good recommendation on a super fine black gloss primer in a rattle can.

I got this can of Behr Premium from Home Depot, but I think the paint is a tad thick and I was hoping for a glossier finish.

Any y'all got any recommendations? I was also considering trying an automotive primer because I figured they'd be glossier.

I don't have any specific recommendations for rattle cans, but you'll likely get the best results from hobby-grade paints. Tamiya, Mr. Hobby, Alclad, Vallejo, etc. As you found, general purpose paints available at big box stores tend to be thicker as their intended use case is for around the house etc, where coverage and durability are typically more important.
