It could be difficult for him.

He's currently behind Walker, Tripper and James at RB.

He'd have to be playing in the midfield but has he been playing this position for Liverpool consistently, and he would only really fit in as one of the two holding midfielders, that's if England go with two holding midfielders, if they was only one holding midfielder, Rice would be above TAA in the pecking order.

Even if there are two deeper midfielders there will be competition for that final place, Gallagher has been very good so far this season, and Southgate likes Henderson, Phillips could be a shout if he gets a transfer away from City.
