Welcome!

My understanding is that a user subscribing to communities in other instances is a good thing for other users, since lemmy.studio will become aware of those instances and communities. This way, when a user searches for something there's a bigger corpus to search in.

But like mostly everyone, I'm new to this and I could be wrong. 🙂
