I've smelled some funky cheese in my time, but none of them have smelled like death. Now I want to know what cheeses, if any, actually smell like that so I can brave the stench and see if they taste good, like limburger.

Cheese can stank, but I have never smelled cheese as stinky as death.

Dead things have a unique pungency to them, which I would imagine is an evolutionary thing.
