It frustrates me to no end that the term "neoliberalism" is a set of "hyper-capitalist" economic policies embraced and advanced by "conservative and right-libertarian organizations, political parties, and think tanks."

That's not "liberalism": "a political and moral philosophy based on the rights of the individual, liberty, consent of the governed, political equality, right to private property and equality before the law."
