The City of Regina had requested a $330-million increase to bring its debt limit to $780 million as it looks to finance major projects in the coming years. They've had to settle for a much smaller increase.

Seems like things have been spiralling out of control in a pretty bad way with the city over the last few years.

Time for a change in thinking or we are going to be in crazy debt as a city. Taxes have gone up, fees being restructured and they are still wracking up unfathomable levels of debt.

This is irresponsible. We need some new people and ideas next election.

Current debt cap is 450mil and they are asking to almost double it, without any sort of serious explanation of why this unprecedented request was made, infact, they are so out of touch they had no idea that the request would be denied.
