You can use this trick in reverse when you have a lot of avos also.
Put them all in the fridge except for the ones you want ripened and stagger them out of fridge so they don't all ripen at once. Once they're ripened, you can move them back in to prevent over-ripening but staggering them out means you should be eating them consistently as you go.
