In the next week or two, kglitch.social will be shutting down, to free up server resources for https://piefed.social, a new kbin/lemmy alternative written in Python.

PieFed is currently pretty new and needs people to use it a bit, to make all the bugs show themselves. Please jump in and let me know what you find!

Will piefed have full support for Lemmy apps? I have no interest in using a browser when the apps are so good

There are no current plans to build an app or to make an API that Lemmy apps could use. At the moment I'm focused on getting the web-based experience as good as it can get.

For now, try the PWA, it's pretty nice.
