Why does the instances list have peertube sites? (lemmy.ml)

The instances list currently seems to be mostly lemmy instances with a couple of peertube sites like tilvids and framatube for some reason. I am confused as to why. The idea is to link lemmy instances, is it not? We don't yet have federation with peertube yet do we?

You can search users from peertube apparently, though their posts don't show up yet. For example if you search @[email protected] in lemmy.ml his account shows up, but again no videos because that part hasn't been worked out I guess.

Huh, you're right. Interesting. Those must be the instances the devs are working with to get federation working.
