Try getting remote work. Even if the hours are the same, the lack of commuting and less constant in person supervision (digital supervison can be faked quite easily) makes it more compatible with the "fuck-work" mindset you get after a while of unemployment (not that this mind set is necessarily bad if you can survive otherwise).
I don't think it makes unionizing impossible, but yeah remote work isn't for everyone.
