If you consider you did write the code as your old name, letting the git tree version your gender is actually epic 🤝

Still force push an empty commit that says you changed your gender at the moment you started changing your user config just so it fucks up the history

That would be pretty funny, I think

I absolutely see your point, but It just absolutely downs me seeing my old name, which tends to happen on smaller projects, so whenever I can, I will actually filter branch :,)
