Japanese publishers love Denuvo without understanding how it works or how much it prevents a broader install base, which is basically required for any digital entertainment strategy. GaaS, DLC, subscriptions, etc all require as many people as possible to install and play the game to both discover it and invest into it. Why Squeenix, Capcom, Sega, et al love these DRM schemes must be a talented marketer for Denuvo because it hurts game sales.
