Even in this 'logic' it's not adding up. Why does it stop Christ from saving us? "Oh you've stopped eating meat, I'm so very cross with you!" You'd think evolving beyond being human would also remove us from the original sin.
Remember back in the mid 90s when that adorable animated kids movie "All Dogs Go To Heaven" came out, and a bunch of TV protestant whackadoos came out of the woodwork to insist that Acksully dogs don't have souls, so they can't go to heaven?
