Lol. I'm learning so I was struggling for vocab anyway.

As far as I’m aware, rudimentary means too basic, without enough tools or options. That is what I understood.

It's the "too" I was disagreeing with. I was meaning rudimentary in the sense of "basic; having limitations to options". However limited options isn't necessarily inferior, it's just less polished. Rustic even.

I'm hoping it's not another faux-ami and I'm thinking the English meaning is the same as the French incorrectly
