how many ads do we have to click to pay Mitchell Baker’s salary?

By 2020 her salary had risen to over $3 million, while in the same year the Mozilla Corporation had to lay off approximately 250 employees due to shrinking revenues. Baker blamed this on the Coronavirus pandemic

It’s hard to believe the browser is endangered because they only have 500M a year from putting Google front and center. Is this a move to disentangle from the paid search business or to augment it?
