I am torn between 'B' is for Burglar by Sue Grafton and The Shining by Stephen King for my local book club. What should I read? (lemmus.org)

I've not read 'B' is for Burger personally, but The Shining is one of the best novels I've ever read. I always used to think that Stephen King must have fundamentally misunderstood something to dislike the film as much as he does, or that it was simply a matter of the book always being better than the movie, but after reading it, I no longer have any confusion as to why he feels the way he does. I still love the movie, Kubrick was an artist, but it pales in comparison. I can't recommend it enough.
