Am totally in love with STMI and I have always worn the ladies racerbacks and know the fit of them quite well until today….. received the light smooth cover racerback tank yesterday and I should’ve read the fine print as I didn’t realize it contained a built “bralette”. Suffice to say this is definitely NOT what I expected. I had to have a good laugh as I told Mrs Redneckchinadian that I am “budding”. You ladies amaze me how you can figure out topss like this as I even struggled with getting in properly. Even with the pads removed, I am quite certain I do not want to have a “bra” band that is quite visible through the tank top. The color and fabric are wonderful but too bad they don’t make it without a built in bra 😂. Suffice to say I'd make a terrible female hahaha.

Glad you found it funny b/c I sure did. I think it was funnier when I was struggling with getting the layers of the bra components to not fold over itself and get all tangled and bunched up with the band. I seriously have to get the ladies here a TON of cred for dealing with this kind of "shit" on clothing. I don't mean that in a bad way for the ladies but as a guy, man I couldn't do it....

I’ve cut the shelf bra out of tanks before (Align; Power Y) and feel so much relief! Just turned it inside out, cut up each side, and then cut as close to the seams as possible without cutting the shirt fabric. Maybe you could try it for this one :)

Yes it did cross my mind but I’d be a big liar to say I am a wuss when it comes to defacing my own clothes. I figured that if it doesn’t work for me that someone else in the store will find it and love it way more than I could ever. I mean I do want to keep this top still because I love racerbacks and the smooth cover fabric is pretty neat! First for me. I will go to lulu to awkwardly ask for smaller cups to see if I can somehow make this work. I am on a pretty aggressive weight loss journey and I just know that 10 more lbs off my torso will legit let this top sit exactly the way I would envision it without a visible band. Maybe wishful thinking or me being completely delusional. That being said I have 27ish days left to figure this out lol.
