Says you. It could just mean things players don't get now, won't be seen for ages. So datamined content will sit for a long time, undeveloped.

The way I’m interpreting it is that the items were already developed and implemented, since they would need to be ready if the order was won instead. Since it was lost, the development effort is then just wasted. Which is silly.

It's not gone forever. We just won't get it until it becomes a relevant story point again. We have to work together as a community to succeed in this game.
