I'm feeling that lemmy.ml is going slow and sometimes fails to load, voting or posting comments.

I think it's normal due the Reddit migration and the increase in new users.

But, is there any chance of upgrading the server to higher CPU or something needed to gain speed and stability?

Lemmy.ml was just upgraded pretty substantially a couple of weeks ago with the first large reddit exodus, so unless there is a ton more monetary support from users, i don't really know that the problem will be solved. It's been like this since the 29th. Jerboa is all but unusable for me unless it's late at night.

Generally it is suggested to jump to a different instance and your performance may improve, lemmy.ml has been way overloaded for a long time. Lemmy instances, similar to Mastodon, usually have their own target audiences. A lot of general use instances have popped up with the Reddit migration, but it is usually preferable to try and settle on an instance that might suit your interests.
