I seriously can't believe this is still an issue. I remember having a train break down mid-tunnel and being unable to call work to let them know I'd be late... a decade ago.

I've been to numerous other countries and not only had no issues with cellular service underground (malls, subways) but it was fast as well. Canadians get shafted so badly by the incumbent providers

Take it up with Robellus. They can't come to an agreement.

Yeah the triopoly isn't helping, but at the same time we don't need the ISP'S to install stuff like repeaters for the common frequencies. Many individuals and businesses already do this for e.g. buildings with otherwise poor reception and it could be done as a common-infra project without their blessing entirely.
