Since many of us are trying to avoid giving reddit any traffic, this space can be used to discuss Apollo, our dreams of seeing it join the Fediverse, and to give our appreciation to @[email protected] for his incredible work.

I initially tried Lemmy and thought it was too complicated - until I tried it with the wefwef.app web app. It’s design is really similar to Apollo, and is quite responsive for being a web app. Definitely give it a try before giving up on Lemmy.

Agreed, the name is preeeeetty strange but I’m super impressed with this PWA!

Not gonna lie, I renamed it to Apollo when installing 😂

I know this post is 2 weeks old, but if you're coming from Apollo and you'd prefer a "real" app, Memmy is very similar experientially to Apollo.

Wefwef is really nice. And it’s just a WebApp! Down side, no notifications with WebApps if I remember correctly)

PWA notifications are only available on android currently

Apple has added notification support to web apps.
