Do the characters themselves matter in any of them? I haven't played every single Mario Party, but the ones I have played it doesn't make a difference and there is still only 4 players at a time so having more pieces doesn't matter much to me.
IDK, I don't care about having a specific piece in Monopoly either. While everyone else is fighting over the car, I just grab one at random. 🤷🏻♂️
they only matter in super mario party, where they each get different variations of dice.

Kamek is also an unlockable character after beating the story mode as well as Shy Guy.
